After rousing start for Mack, familiar end for Bears vs. GB

There’s a Chicago Bears car driving around Bay View Tyler Maas

The Green Bay Packers have come roaring back against the Chicago Bears behind quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers' Geronimo Allison catches a touchdown pass in front of the Bears' Kyle Fuller during the second half Sunday in Green Bay, Wis. They have scored 17 unanswered points.

Aaron Rodgers was magnificent after returning from a knee injury in the second half of the season opener, but he couldn't have completed the 20-point comeback without some Herculean efforts from his receivers.

Whether the Packers are being a bit reckless in letting Rodgers back into a game in which the Packers have been unable to protect him is debatable, but we can all agree it's a great sign that Rodgers is deemed healthy enough to play.

Fuller, who ranked No. 2 in the National Football League last season in passes defensed, gifted a would-be game-sealing interception on a quick pass to Davante Adams, the Packers' No. 1 receiver who had scored on the previous possession - not against Fuller - and roasted Fuller in their previous meeting.

A mention of the four-year, $134 million, $100 million guaranteed contract as a reason not to come back?

Aaron Rodgers has struggled with injuries in the past, going down in Week 6 last season with a shoulder injury that required surgery.

"We have a little saying around here: drop a pick, give up a touchdown", Rodgers said. "All I got to say is I got to catch it".

Rodgers injured his knee midway through the second quarter after going down on a sack.

Rodgers then walked to the cart that took him up the Lambeau Field tunnel. Mack wasn't the only Bears defender to enjoy an exemplary half, but he was the Chicago player whose star shone the brightest. Backup DeShone Kizer jogged onto the field with Green Bay trailing 10-0.

Mitchell Trubisky was 23 of 35 for 171 yards. Defensive lineman Kenny Clark jumped on it, closing the book on Green Bay's first win of the season.

For a while, the Vikings' quarterback, Kirk Cousins, actually was making more money than he was. On their second, they looked capable.

The biggest issue was that they were not being conservative in the running game, but yet the passing game.

Trubisky continued the momentum after halftime, leading the Bears on a 60-yard drive that led to a 33-yard Parkey field goal that made it 20-0.
