Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army said that it shelled a Hamas post in response to firing from the Palestinian enclave that targeted Israeli troops. Sources said that Hamas is unwilling to enter into any negotiations or provide any information about the Israeli soldiers detained, agreeing only to a prisoner exchange in return for the freeing of prisoners rearrested after the Gilad Shalit deal in 2011.
A high-level delegation from Hamas has also arrived in Gaza Strip since on Thursday after talks with Egyptian officials.
Ran Goldstein, the head of the Israel-based Physicians for Human Rights, told the state-run Israeli Broadcasting Corporation that Hamas had told him that "the video sent by the family of Avraham Mengistu to their son about two years ago has been passed on".
The incident comes as the United Nations and Egypt continue to try to broker a deal for a lasting ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which dominates Gaza.
United Nations and Egyptian-led efforts are under way to mediate a long-term truce between Israel and Hamas that would end a four-month upsurge of violence along the Israel-Gaza border.

Israel has lost tracts of farmland and forest to fires started by kites and helium balloons laden with incendiary material which have caused fires in Israeli forests and farmlands and flown over the border by Palestinians in Gaza.
